Kawaii Street: Lamb Queen
Kawaii City: Lamb Queen
I really popped off with my pieces from DaniLamb Designs. I'm obsessed with all things chess and seeing the chess set the day before I knew what energy I would have for my second day at Quirkcon. This look was a general kawaii kei, but 100% storyteller kei. Why? I had a whole mental moment of fantasy and unrest in the kingdom getting dressed.
When I was putting this coord together, I felt that I was a queen in some dystopian candy land coming to her rightful heritage. I put on the corset to bring in my favorite historic iconic fashion inspirations. I was hot all day, but worth the look. I liked the idea of bringing the magic of what I felt a Candyland dystopia would look like in style. It would be candy-themed, kawaii animals, and drugs all gone wrong. Its the type of rave-centric energy I adore in chaotic worlds. My focus for this coord was feminine but chaotic. Elements of my accessories include motifs from the dress pattern. I used some Puvithel x Hard Decora collab Pill clips, the lamb ears from DaniLamb, and black bow. Doubling up on two headbands felt a bit risky but looked cuter than I thought it would. I always find an excuse to add Un-Re Designs giant buttons, and I can't help it. Lastly on the accessories would be the excellent runway stomping glitter docs, and the corset belt from Aldo.
I love Danilambs gentle feminine style and in general motifs! Lambs are cute and I like how they show up in her designs. Her shop is local to Florida, so for me shipping for me is pretty easy. I like the tights that match the print of the dress. If you haven’t checked out her shop give it a look you’ll find some gentle femme motifs to put some pink energy into your life, even if you are more of a lion than a lamb.
