Magical Girl

Battle Mage - Magical Girl

Inspired by my love of Anime Magical Girls, this facet of my writing and style represents my Kawaii (Japanese for “Cute”) lifestyle. I admire Ultra Femme aesthetics, the color pink, and magic. From Sailor Moon to Sanrio this part of me is 100% invested in being Kawaii and Fierce.

Kawaii Street: Funky Fresh Waifu

Boston was a hoot! I loved the progressiveness and art vibe I experienced there, but perhaps Boston wasn’t quite as ready for my pink energy. I’m not saying I regret my packing choices, but I think maybe I should have gone for more muted instead of the bright purple path of destruction. My day two outfit was my favorite, so let's explore my funky fresh purple hex on Boston.

Funky fresh who is she:

Gentlefolk one of my favorite fashion things to do is thrifting for some funky “Who would wear that” items. I mean anything from that genre of style and color palate is a challenge and really pushes me to think fashion forward. Color challenges are a part of why I took a quick liking to visual Kei and Decora styles. In this look, I favor more of a groovy vintage look, featuring some dad energy in a Hawaiian floral shirt, but I layer it in my inner art student aesthetic.

Purple is my color choice for when I want to feel more artsy and affluent. In general, I don’t wear it as much, but I like the color as jewel tone or pastel. Two extremes in shades. I also took a liking to Hawaiian floral after visiting Honolulu in 2018 for my birthday. Something about the classic dad print made me feel happy and oddly classy. Like, yes I can afford yacht parties and mimosas. Indeed Hawaiian floral scream extravagance and utter disregard for financial security. Two things I embody casually every day from 8 am to 5 pm. Can you dig how goofy it is? This is my funky fresh energy.
