Magical Girl

Battle Mage - Magical Girl

Inspired by my love of Anime Magical Girls, this facet of my writing and style represents my Kawaii (Japanese for “Cute”) lifestyle. I admire Ultra Femme aesthetics, the color pink, and magic. From Sailor Moon to Sanrio this part of me is 100% invested in being Kawaii and Fierce. This is the newest of my inner selves, and perhaps most famous for “Pink Energy”. I have a fiery spirit and temper and I protect femme energy, Kawaii lifestyles and all kawaii melanin I come across. Unique to this writing voice, “Kawaii Journalism”  a writing style I created on my own, is to share the intersection in kawaii lifestyles, and mentality. You can look forward to seeing my work featured soon, but for now enjoy it on my blog.

You can catch this guide to navigate you to my Kawaii blogging, and cute style and cute ideas.

Kawaii City: Thingamajig with ya Kawaii Girlfriend

Sometimes you just need a day out with your kawaii girlfriends and today's mini adventure in my kawaii lifestyle was a girl day with Roxi with Some Moxi. So, let's dive right into thingamajigs and Kawaii girlfriends.

Thrifting and Thrifted Things:

A day out with my favorite kawaii girlfriend (who swears that my novel will be a big hit enough for me to be a sugar mama) began with me rolling out to a blue car and feeling myself for a snapchat video. We caboose kawaii style to a local thrift shop and just had fun looking around not only for those “funky fresh” shirts but pots for future crafts and whatever else suited the whims of a couple of magical girls with dust in their wallets and a heart full of inspiration and creativity. Despite the look around our local thrift store nothing was calling out to me. It didn’t mean that I enjoyed the hustle and bustle less, but perhaps it just wasn’t the time to thrift for my blossoming kawaii wardrobe.

After a quick look-a-roo in Ross, we headed out further in Maryland to this amazingly cute but crazily pricy kawaii shop Thingamajig’s. Now, initially, we were heading out to this area to eat some Korean BBQ at Iron Age. That hour wait time had to be filled with something. So we traversed into the kawaii expensive arena of this shop. Everything really is just that cute. Everything is also just that expensive. As Roxi and I explored stationary, BTS items, and my latest obsession with cute face masks (I mean at the time I was sick, so it was a big need) we just had fun browsing through the overpriced items. As a well-traveled magical girl Roxi highly recommends I just go to Asia and shop for those same cute items. Who knows what might be a magic 2020 Jadedisland move if I ever get my passport?!

Korean BBQ:

If you love it, don’t just make it a date night or birthday excursion. Find a way to get Korean BBQ casually. It’ fun going with friends who are indeed culturally woke and can join you in making faces while the people in the booth behind you remind you that cis- straight racist white men are not kawaii in any form of the word. Anyway, my rant aside. Food was good. To treat your kawaii girlfriend properly make sure you are assertive in ordering your meats and asking for sides. While, I’m always nervous about cooking meat because honestly, I’m two shades close to vegetarian, but my allergies hinder that significant lifestyle change for me. I don’t cook meat often, so to take the reigns and cook meat I was indeed King Jade. It was a fun meal with one of my favorite people. What more can a magical girl ask for as a 2019 pick me up and social outing?
