Magical Girl

We forget about the journey of magical girls and here is the space in which I explore everything related to kawaii, harajuku, anime, and everything pink.

Battle Mage - Magical Girl

Inspired by my love of Anime Magical Girls, this facet of my writing and style represents my Kawaii (Japanese for “Cute”) lifestyle. I admire Ultra Femme aesthetics, the color pink, and magic. From Sailor Moon to Sanrio this part of me is 100% invested in being Kawaii and Fierce.

Let's get one thing straight I had too many outfits at Blerdcon. It would be impossible to condense it down into one lookbook. Instead, I'll let my runway look take the lead. Featured at the first Blerdcon Jfashion show, my Yamikawaii "Bitter Donut Gal." I knew that when I walked the stage, I wanted to tell a story that spoke about my relationship with the duality of being bitter and sweet.

Putting this coord together was actually inspired by one of my favorite characters in anime. Gasai Yuno, from the anime Mirai Nikki (English: Future Diary), has inspired a lot of my style from the day I first picked up the manga. She's the perfect representation of duality, and arguably my favorite magical girl. I was obsessed with her black dress look, along with her pink hair. You might recall the scene. She went full "Sicko Mode" as my siblings say. Any black and pink combo reminds me of Yuno, and it's honestly my favorite pairing for anything. In this case, my bittersweet temperament decided to take the stage.

I thought about what donut shop girl, day in and out serving up sugary treats to people who are mean and cruel. The heart apron jsk just another sign of a sweet side of life and a time of magic. The skirt design was done by Meowsasmagicalworld. I paired the heart skirt with a see-through black blouse, and some tights to cover hot girl don't shave summer. My lovely heart oxfords shoes as a companion to the heart theme. A girl can be in love with the gentle side of life, but there are many bitter twists in that love. My makeup was done by Tee Tee, and I was in love with the dramatic yet sweet eyes.

When I thought about how to bring this bitter donut girl to life, that's when I brought more of the black and pink energy to accessorizing. Donuts, bows, and skulls, all the magic of duality. I am obsessed with Un-Re Designs donut hair clips and thought about what my shop girl would be like with them.

I fell in love with yamikawaii as a style, because I knew that the elements of something scary paired with cute were right to me. This look was inspired by that idea and style. On top of that for Blerdcon, what better moment to walk the stage with only black-owned brands. I cannot wait to tell more with this story in style, once I have a better-rounded closet and a knack for costume design I think the bitter donut gal will make a return.
